For anyone who has responsibility for fire safety or has been appointed as a Fire Marshal (Fire Warden) within their workplace. No previous fire safety knowledge is required.
The online learning module has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to carry out the role of a Fire Marshal effectively within the workplace. The course reflects the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and current fire safety guidance.
Learners will develop an understanding of fire prevention, fire risk assessment, fire safety legislation, emergency procedures and the responsibilities of a Fire Marshal in helping to prevent fires and supporting the safe evacuation of occupants during an emergency. Depending on the nature of the workplace and the findings of the fire risk assessment, practical fire safety training may also be required.
