Training & Cancellation Policy
Change in Trainee Numbers
Where more/less trainees attend the course than were originally booked the following rules will apply. In-House Training = no notice is required and a bill/refund will be issued for the adjusted number of trainees to a minimum of 4 trainees and a maximum of 12 trainees. No more than 12 trainees can be trained at one time. Off-Site Training = trainees can be added at any time via the website if space is available. In the event of reducing the number of trainees a full refund will be issued for those not attending providing 72 hours notice has been given. If less than 72 hours notice is given the Cancellation policy below will apply to those trainees not attending. If the trainee’s place on the course is rebooked by another person a full refund will be issued.
Cancellation
FAW Cornwall can be contacted more than 72 hours before the commencement of any training course for a full refund (contact@fawcornwall.co.uk). Refunds will be refunded via the original payment method. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the commencement of any training course will receive either; store credit, partial store credit, refund, partial refund, or no refund and no store credit at the discretion of FAW Cornwall depending on; individual circumstances, amount of notice given, previous order history, and whether the cancelled bookings were rebooked by others.
Incomplete Training
Where trainees do not attend for the full day on every training day they will be deemed to have failed the course and no refund will be issued. Should they rebook onto the same type of course with FAW Cornwall within 3 months they will only be required to attend the parts of the course that they missed, should they so wish, to complete their training but the full course cost will apply to the new course regardless of how much they attend.
Failed Exams
Where trainees on the First aid at Work or First Aid at Work Requalification course fail to pass their end of course test no refund will be issued unless more than 50% of trainees fail. Where more than 50% of trainees on any particular course fail their end of course test the training will be considered to have been inadequately delivered and a full refund will be issued to all trainees that fail.
Instructor Absence
In the event that the course instructor on any FAW Cornwall training course fails to attend the full minimum of required hours on the days scheduled the training will be considered to be incomplete and a full refund will be issued for every trainee.
