For qualified workplace First Aiders who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills between initial qualification and requalification. The online learning module has been developed to support the Health and Safety Executive’s recommendation for annual first aid refresher training. It helps qualified First Aiders maintain their knowledge, confidence and awareness of current best practice between requalification courses and includes the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidelines. The course reviews essential first aid knowledge, reinforces key lifesaving procedures and includes demonstrations of practical techniques. The course is intended as a knowledge refresher and does not replace practical refresher training or formal requalification.

The course takes around 1 hour to complete, and you can pause and save your progress at any time to finish later.

Self-checks follow each section of the course and a final multiple-choice assessment concludes the online module. Learners are required to achieve a score of 100% on each self-check before they can progress to the next section. The final multiple-choice assessment has a pass mark of 80%. Learners have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass.

On successful completion, trainees download a certificate as evidence that they have passed the course.

The certificate is valid for 1 year.
