Allergy & Anaphylaxis Awareness for Schools (Benedict’s Law)
A comprehensive online course designed for all school staff, who are required to undertake training in line with Benedict’s Law, effective in schools from September 2026
On successful completion, trainees download a certificate as evidence that they have passed the course. This certificate is valid for 1 year
This course is accredited by The CPD Group. It is provided by Elearn Here Limited and offered by the FAIB (First Aid Industry Body) to FAW Cornwall under licence.
Successful completion of the course gains 1 CPD credit.
Online Training
This online course is to enable school staff to recognise and respond appropriately to allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, within educational settings. It supports schools in meeting current national guidance and strengthened allergy safety expectations linked to Benedict’s Law.

The aim of this online course is to enable school staff to recognise and respond appropriately to allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, within educational settings. It supports schools in meeting current national guidance and strengthened allergy safety expectations linked to Benedict’s Law.
The course includes practical video demonstrations showing the correct use of adrenaline medication (including adrenaline auto-injectors and the EURneffy® nasal spray), as well as basic life support (CPR) and AED use during an anaphylactic emergency.
Self-checks follow each section of the course and a final multiple-choice assessment concludes the online module. Learners are required to achieve a score of 100% on each self-check before they can progress to the next section. The final multiple-choice assessment has a pass mark of 80%. Learners have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass.
The course may also be used as part of a blended learning programme, with a follow-up practical session providing hands-on familiarisation with adrenaline trainer devices and practical CPR/AED skills where schools wish to provide additional face-to-face training or competency assessment.
